A Gift of Wings

Cascade Mountains

Somewhere on the peaks near the center of this photo lie the remains of the Old Aviator. He loved mountains nearly as much as he loved to fly, and he passed his love of flying and mountains to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Per his request, his ashes were dropped by his three sons from a Piper Pacer over the beloved mountains some years earlier. Recently his great grandson flew us by the area in a Mooney aircraft, again paying tribute the Old Aviator and the gift of wings that he had given us. Thanks Dad, and rest ye well.
