The loud, raucous call of an agitated piliated woodpecker drew our attention to a nearby tree where both it and a red-shouldered hawk were perched. Primary Plumeria
We carted the plumeria plant into the house several times during freezing weather this past winter along with a hitchhiking lizard, and both survived in relative comfort. We were rewarded with these blooms yesterday morning, and can hardly wait for more. The lizard was unavailable for comment. #plumeria #primaryplumeria
Lining for the Nest
I hustled to the closet to fetch the camera after spotting this flycatcher gathering soft, fuzzy lining material for its nest.
