Oswald Come Home

Disney’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

It was a long time coming; created in 1927 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks for Universal Pictures, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was controlled by Universal from 1928 until 2006 when the Walt Disney Company negotiated the return of the rights for Oswald. In the meantime Disney created Micky Mouse as the replacement. Mickey was much luckier than Oswald and brought much needed luck to Walt Disney as well. Oswald may be a little envious of his successor but they do seem to get along in our house as long as I keep them in separate rooms. Of course it helps that we both play the banjolele. Thanks Emily and Jon.

  1. Got a history lesson from this as I had never heard of Oswald.  Cute little guy. Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone
