Regarding Swirling Winds

A few small branches litter the lawn and driveway.

Hurricane Idalia has come ashore well north and west of us. Through the night winds here seldom topped 30 MPH, but will increase to as high as 45 mph later today before tapering off through tonight and tomorrow. Rain will continue off and on through the day. In the meantime we are under a tornado watch through 3 PM. We had been under a tornado warning earlier this morning and had our safe room ready, but we did not have to use it since the warning was cancelled a few minutes after it was issued. While the center of the storm has passed us by, we are still wary of swirling winds that may hide beneath its skirts as we wait out the latest round of weather roulette.
