Many years ago we spent a few weeks in northern Wyoming, where we encountered these aptly named “monster cookies.” Of course, the recipe followed us home and once in a while it bursts forth to entice us to make 14 dozen of these cookies at a time. Yes, that is how many the recipie produces; perhaps that’s the reason they are called monster cookies. Of course, if you look closely, it can be seen that two are missing. What can we say? The 4-5 hours of measuring, mixing, and baking brings out our inner cookie monster (with apologies to Sesame Street)!
