While walking at the Silver River State Park, we found this tiny hatchling turtle. I think it is a baby box turtle, and it was on the edge of the path waiting for sunrays to warm it before moving on. It was between the size of a quarter and a half dollar, and while tiny, its encounter amounted to much more than just small change.
