Rain that Remains

Rain Captured in Gauge After the Storm

As of 7 a.m. yesterday, dark clouds shrouded the sky and showered raindrops across the area as it had for the prior two days. By 10 a.m. the clouds were gone, though water continued to drip from trees and eaves for some time after. But the fallen rain, as seen in the gauge above, remained in the ground to nourish the plants and to help roadside flowers burst into bloom. Before long, we will be enjoying the various hues from the blossoms that we always anticipate around this time of year. Perhaps soon, there will be a blog or two featuring those floral colors.
