Time Clocked

Does anybody really know what time it is?(Chicago)

There is a significant difference between knowing and feeling what time it is. Waking up on the Sunday morning of the spring time change feels like a hangover without experiencing the fun of the party the night before. But the time never really changes. Look at the movement of the Sun and the Moon; they are not aware of any difference. They just go about their business as usual as do the birds, flora and other fauna.

So we change our labeling of the time while nothing else in the non-anthropocentric universe changes or even cares. Maybe that is why on the day that I’m told to “spring forward,” I prefer to roll over and fall back to sleep. It feels much better rest a little longer than to live with the feeling that I’ve been clocked in the head with all this artificial time foolishness.
