Lurking in the Louvers

Lizard in Outdoor HVAC Unit

It’s a curious life for a lizard. It spends most of its life looking for something to eat while trying not to get eaten itself in the process, or mangled by moving parts of air conditioning units. This one also appeared interested in listening to our conversation, but was leery of any approach by us humans.

Out of curiosity, I did a web search about louvers and found this interesting assertion: “A louver is the part of the HVAC system that allows airflow into the building but blocks the rest of nature from getting in.” If louvers truly block nature from getting in, what’s with the lizard? Perhaps it just didn’t get the memo.
