Partial Eclipse

Thin clouds partly dimmed the view of yesterday’s eclipse but the sun remained visible in spite of them. I had my solar telescopes set up on the driveway including the wood-framed Sun Seeker projection telescope which gave the best general view. It projects an image of the sun on paper and anyone standing nearby could see it, and it was a real hit with the neighbors. The lower photo shows the sun near maximum eclipse here in Florida. More detailed images were taken through the bigger black telescope on the left side of the image but those are still being processed. A good time was had by young and old.
