Finally, a celebrity worthy of his fame. Ernie has been a stable character at Marion Therapeutic Riding Association (MTRA) for several years and has become a favorite with staff and clients alike. MTRA has been helping physically and mentally challenged people, young and old, build self-esteem and confidence since 1985. An untold number of heart-warming stories have come from the teamwork of horses, clients, and staff.
Ernie is a gentle giant who joined MTRA 11 years ago and continues to be a loved and trusted steed. His size had people laughing when someone once exclaimed: “They put the smallest kid on the largest horse!” He has a special place in the hearts of many, including our grandson.
