Crippled Crow Carries On

Nearly a year ago this crow with its injured right wing was featured in this blog (see: https://eskildoodle.com/2023/07/30/on-a-wing-and-a-prayer/). Over the winter it seemed to have disappeared and we assumed that its infirmity had finally led to its demise. Then, to our amazement and delight, it recently reappeared, no worse than before. As usual, it crow-hopped away, avoiding flight when we passed by. For almost three years now, not only has it survived and even thrived in its adversity, it has earned our respect.
