I Once Caught A Fish…

Xiphactinus Audax at Western Wyoming Community College

Actually, I never caught this fish, but during the 1980’s I donated for its display in honor of professor Charlie Love, geologist and anthropologist. It was the first of several remarkable fossils that Charlie commissioned to be displayed throughout the college and still stands proudly 40 years later.

I had considered titling this post “Two Old Fossils,” but no one really wants to think about growing old, and, besides, who has never dreamed of catching a living fish this big?
