Tropic Time Again

First Tropical Disturbance of the Year

According to AccuWeather reports the tropical “disturbance” that engulfed southern Florida is the latest start to tropical weather season since 2014. That is small comfort for areas like Fort Lauderdale and surrounding regions that reportedly received nearly 20 inches of rain in 24 hours.

Here in Ocala, we were at the northern margin of the storm and only received around half an inch of rain. While we would have liked a little more, we are happy to avoid the drenching inflicted on the southern part of the state. It seems that this latest tropical disturbance has been a bit too disturbing.
