Quartz EnCounter

Quartz crystals from Glory Hole Mine, Central City, Colorado
Quartz Countertop

Take clear, white quartz, grind it to a powder, add some polymer resin, and the result is a smooth, beautiful, hard-surfaced, kitchen counter top. With this new addition, I can enjoy two of my favorite actives, rock-hounding and eating. YAY!

PS–I collected the crystals in the upper photo when I was a kid. See: https://eskildoodle.com/2023/04/26/gems-from-the-glory-hole-mine/ The crystal in the lower photo was a gift from a fellow rock hound, when I was young.
