Yesterday’s paper proclaimed that Halloween wares were going on display in local store next month, in July. If anyone wanted to be assured of getting their favorite costume or treat, they had best hurry…and blah, blah, blah. We’ll just wait and buy candy in bulk at Costco a few weeks before Halloween and set up on the driveway for the hundreds (yes, literally hundreds) of kids that will be coming by. We’ll let their parents worry about getting the latest, greatest costumes in July if they so choose.
In the meantime, the garlic keeper in the middle of the cupboard seems absolutely startled by the news. Perhaps it is afraid it will turn into a pumpkin if we wait too long, and we’ll have to start calling him Jack O’.
