Not Yacht-worthy

Pleasant Pond Near Oklawaha, Florida

The serene scene reminded me of the ending of the movie, “Second Hand Lions,” where a large, ocean-going yacht was seen floating in an even smaller pond. Nope, this is more suited to rowboats than yachts and it makes me miss my dinghy, “Phishie.”

I had to sell it when we moved to Florida from Washington state several years ago. I had a great time rowing it on the Columbia and Snake rivers as well some surrounding waters. It was won in a drawing, and I rowed over 500 miles in it during the two years it was mine.

  1. Your right.  The picture does bring to mind a scene in Second Hand Lions.  Great movie!   So enjoyed your “free boat” story.  Debbie Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone
