I was putting away the telescopes after capturing images of the sun when I saw a green lizard leap around the corner of the shed. I followed and found it flashing its spotted red neck appendage, called a dewlap, at me. It is said that they do this when threatened, when claiming territory, or when trying to attract a mate. How anyone would really know is beyond me but as for attracting a new mate, I am definitely not available.
