Shadows of Memories

Gift from Friends

The sunlight accented beads and a drum and cast their shadows on the wall. They were gifts from friends that we met in Oklahoma while we were at Fort Sill. The man who made the set was Apache, and his wife was a direct descendant of the great Comanche Chief Quanah Parker. We were their guests at the Quanah Parker family reunion in 1982, and they shared stories and memories which we shall always treasure.
