Ribbon Snake Roundup

Skinny-dippin’ Ribbon Snake

It struggled to get out of the pool not long after we had all exited. Though not sure just when or how it entered the pool, I know exactly how it got out. With a net on a long pole, I “rescued” it, but it it leapt out of the net onto the pool deck and wiggled away as quick as it could. I herded it towards the open pool cage door with the net and finally, nearly exhausted, it slithered out the door to the nearby bushes where it quickly disappeared under the mulch. It seemed almost as happy as we were that it was no longer in the pool.
