Bright Memory

 Little Gem “Diamond” Banjo Uke

When I retired from the local VA medical clinic, they gave me a collection that had been taken for my retirement party. I was shocked by the amount I received, but delighted to spend it on this “Little Gem” banjo ukulele to add to my collection.

I had spent a little time each Friday morning at the clinic serenading employees as they arrived, with a ukulele that I kept in the office. They seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. I felt that we were a great team and had a singular purpose of caring for our vets. Seeing this ukulele, especially when it reflects the season’s sun, resurrects memories that put a sparkle in my day.
