Moose in Rocky Mountain National Park

During our Colorado visit, we stopped at a pullout near the 12,000 foot summit of Trail Ridge Road. A gathering of people were staring at something way down in the marshy valley. Binoculars, telescopes, and even a camera with a huge telephoto lens all pointed in the same direction.

One kind lady shared a view through her telescope that revealed a large bull moose grazing in the greenery. Another young lady offered to photograph the moose by holding my camera over the telescope eyepiece. Suddenly we had a great souvenir of the splendid animal in its natural habitat.

Wow! I could have looked at that all day!
