1500 Posts and Still Seeing Things

Stairway at Grant’s Home in Galena, Illinois

Four years and two days ago I started this blog on a whim to share some photos of the things I see and imagine. I had no idea that it would last this long, but as long as I continue seeing things that capture the imagination I will keep on posting blogs about the magic and wonder that is everywhere.

The stairwell photo above was taken during a recent visit to the Galena, Illinois, home of Ulysses Grant. There will be more from there as well.

Thanks so much to all of you who follow along, even if only now and then. If it brings a smile to just one face, it is all worth it.

  1. We visited Grant’s home maybe 45 years ago.I have forgotten much probably due to keeping eye on kids. It seems restoration has been done, as I remember a less polished home. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
