Dogs barked off and on through the night signaling the presence of bears. The next morning, evidence of the bear activity lay scattered across driveways and into the nearby woods. The bear or bears were just looking for something to eat, and garbage left out overnight by careless humans invited the bears to scavenge whatever they could. If the garbage had been kept inside the garage until morning’s light, the scene above could have been avoided. Makes you wonder just who is the “dumb animal” in this case.
