There are lots of squirrels in the neighborhood and they dart in and out unpredictably when cars are coming, sometimes getting hit, but usually missing disaster by inches. In this case the squirrel avoided the wheel of the oncoming car, but his tail did not.
I am can only imagine that the squirrel was grateful for not being crushed by the approaching tires, but I don’t think that it really really wanted to “leave a tip!”
