After three days in the car, we arrived in the great north woods to enjoy the natural surrounding, the wildlife, and above all cheese curds. We don’t know if the raccoons will provide evening entertainment, but the trash is already out by the street. Of course, none of our group will be attempting the ‘Old 96er,” but we did enjoy some great pizza at the Moose Jaw Pizza & Dells Brewery Co.
This morning’s walk led to an encounter with two white tail deer that watched warily from the between the trees and brush, alternately gazing intently, twitching their white tails, then finally grazing as I stood motionless near a tree. After several minutes I retreated slowly to let them finish their breakfast.
