I remember 1961, I was 10 years old. It was at time of baseball, swimming in the Platte River, dairy cattle, corn and alfalfa fields. I also had a coin collection, mostly pennies since that is all I could afford, and my friends and I marveled that the date 1961 on coins read the same right side up or upside-down. It was the dates on the coins that I remember most vividly from that time, and that was 61 years ago.
