The Way It Wobbled

Unused Bed in Safe Room

No, we didn’t have to shelter in the laundry room, away from windows and outside walls. For whatever reason, the hurricane, which had been headed our way, veered right then took a curved path around our region of Florida. While tragedy struck elsewhere, it barely brushed by us with winds 30-40 mph and only a couple of inches of rain. Our power was out for only about 5 minutes during which our generator kicked in until the city power was restored. We are thankful for our good luck, while mindful of our fellow Floridians who were not so lucky.
