I have never seen a crab like this on the beach before. It wasn’t moving, but was quite large with massive claws. I wasn’t sure if it was dead or alive, but the birds weren’t messing with it, so i figured neither should I.

Did you research and ever find out what kind of crab it was?

I looked and did internet search, but so far haven’t discovered what kind it was. Will let you know if I do figure it out.
