We set our on our walk this morning, confident that the rain was over. Winds whipped the fallen leaves about, and a stray twig came twirling down by our feet as we rounded a bend about half a mile from home. Perhaps we should have payed more attention to the weather sprites. About a mile from home it started to mist, then drizzle, then OMG!
A neighbor took pity on our plight and offered a ride home, which we eagerly accepted. As we were unlocking the door to our garage, this rainbow appeared. We had curtailed our walk early and the rainbow seemed to be signaling: “Good idea!”
