Gone Today, Here Tomorrow

The leaves are not yet done falling. Blow the leaves off the driveway today and more will come down tomorrow. Soon that will end followed by their seedy sequel. Pollen pods (aka tree testicles) will be the next thing to fall from the trees with their dastardly little pods and pollen all over the place, and small enough to sneak through the screen over the lanai.

The whole mess should come to an end in a few weeks when new leaves emerge, allowing the sinuses to open up and reducing the number of trips around the house and on the roof with the blower. Then it will time to uncover the pool. I can hardly wait.

  1. Oh do we know about those dastardly little seed pods that cover the sidewalks with their pollen that is fine enough to get through the gutter screens. Constant clean-up. But, despite how messy they are we love the clump birches that frame the front of our porch at the entrance to the house.
