An old knock-knock joke ends with the punchline: “Orange ya glad I didn’t say bananas?” Don’t know where my kids found that one, but maybe it was payback. It reminds me of a t-shirt we saw recently that read: “Dad, a man you can always rely on and he tells the greatest jokes.” Well maybe not, but at least I didn’t tell any guacamole jokes, and I think the avocados are glad about that (not to mention the kids).
