I believe in the magic of Fairies and boats. Yesterday’s blog showed a place where the Fairy Boat had once moored in British Columbia. This is a picture of it about 25 years ago in Princess Louisa Inlet, about 150 miles from where it was kept when not in use. This is a magical place with towering mountains, a chattering waterfall, and it is guarded by treacherous tidal rapids.
The waterfall was once described by M. Wylie Blanchet in her book The Curve of Time: “That waterfall can laugh and talk, sing and lull you to sleep. But it can also moan and sob, fill you with awful apprehensions of you don’t know what—all the depending on your mood.”
We saw it several times during bright moods as well as dark and gloomy, and could fully relate to the description above. But regardless of the changing conditions and the challenges of getting there, it is and always will be a magical place, the perfect place for a Fairy Boat.
