The predawn clouds were burnished bright red before the rising sun shot streamers through the gaps to accent a sky both calm and threatening. Hurricane Idalia is long gone and Hurricane Lee is not yet on our horizon. It was a much less energetic, local storm system that sent thunder and showers our way yesterday, but the rain was welcome as were the cooler temperatures.
It appears that major Hurricane Lee will at least curve away from Florida, but what turns out to be good news for us, can sometimes be bad news for others. And luck can always change.
