The day after Thanksgiving, I started searching for goldfinches which will likely arrive ahead of Santa sometime between now and Christmas. Instead, we were treated to the red, gold, black, and brown of two cardinals, one female, and the other male, set against a green background. Okay, I’m ready for the Christmas season now. As for Santa and the goldfinches, last one here is a rotten egg!
