January Autumn

Fall Colors in January

Florida winters seem like a combination of fall and winter with a touch of spring soon to come. This tree has finally realized its time to drop its leaves as has the maple in our front yard. Beneath the trees, blossoming azaleas are even more colorful in the chilly morning air. Soon the live oaks will drop their foliage as their new leaves appear, and brown leaves will fall like dark snow flurries. Pollen from the oaks will follow soon, while the pine pollen is already coming down. Fortunately we have lived in Florida long enough to make sense of it all.
