Sly Moon

Mini Moon

This morning I just had to get a photo of the moon before it set. It was only one day past full but didn’t appear as large as it normally would since it is at apogee, the farthest from earth during its orbit. Its secondary image can be seen in the center of the large tree to its left due to light bouncing off the window pane adding to the magic of the moment. It almost looked like the “man on the moon” had his head to one side and was grinning; it seemed worth reflecting upon.
