Dogs of a Feather

Daisy with her prized feather from a red-shouldered hawk.

On our return to morning walks after our prolonged vacation, we were greeted by our good friend Daisy, who had found a hawk’s feather. It was not a gift, but she did want to show it off to her admirers. I must say it did look good “on her.”

I have yet to encounter other such “dogs of a feather,” but I can’t help wondering if I did, would they, too, flock together?
