The hunter’s moon cast its reflection in the pool this morning and is a reminder when the fields and forests, not the supermarket, were the source of food for the winter. It will be visible most of the night for the next couple of days and will still be big and bright even as it passes beyond the full phase. Though it is no longer needed to help hunters find food, it’s glorious view is nourishment for the soul.
