Leave of Absence

Solar Telescopes Back in Position

My solar telescopes are back in the light. For the past few months I have been working on a very special project and chose to put observing on hold for a time so I could put my full energy into the project. After more than 20 years of observing the sun, it was nice to take a break to concentrate on other things for a change. It helped me realize that I had continued solar observing so long not merely out of obsession or habit but rather, because I really do enjoy it, and also, that I don’t mind taking a break once in a while.

Note: These are dedicated solar telescopes specially filtered for safe viewing of the sun. Never point ordinary telescopes or binoculars at the sun. Permanent eye damage will occur.
