Christmas came early for the avian parents of this tiny “present.” No doubt the former content of the shell is spending its time between snoozing and begging for food while trying to stay warm. I can’t help wonder whether the little feathered hatchling was more work for the parents before or after it hatched. Merry Christmas, whoever you are!
