While photographing a spider in our backyard, a bug hit the web and bounced off instead of sticking, and sent vibrations through the web that alerted the spider. The spider stirred, but the insect flew away in the nick of time. It is the blurry brown spot in the photo behind the web to the left of the spider.
One lucky bug.
