As I set up the solar telescope to do a sunspot count, I saw what looked like two eyes on the driveway looking back at me. Could the ants have constructed their own earthen eyes to watch for danger? Probably not, but they have little to fear from me anyway. I use glass lenses for telescopes, not for burning little bugs.
