Simple beauty is often just an upward glance away. While we were walking recently, this scene appeared and I just had to capture it. The jet slipped serenely past the crescent Moon leaving a bright contrail that became contorted into curves and swirls, twisted by unseen turbulence in an otherwise tranquil scene.

Yesterday after I closed the blinds, I noticed pearly beads of light projected through slits in the shades in the music room. I positioned my favorite ukulele, a Pono tenor, and took this photo. Flying cranes and falling leaves, a sure sign of fall in Florida. On our walk yesterday, we heard the rattling trill of a migrating flock of cranes flying overhead. They flew by as leafs drifted downward from the sky. It was a thrilling sight, autumn at its best.

Snow Blows!

Though I am retired, I still remember how Mondays always came around like “droppings from heaven.”

This time of year the light works special magic on items in the house that just beckon the presence of the Fairies.

My wife, Fairy, bought me the porcelain doctor-in-distress for a graduation present from medical school. She said that she would keep me until I looked that good. While at Disney’s Epcot Center a few years ago I took this photo near the China pavillion. Someone had tossed a penny into the pond only to have it land in the wet center of a waterlilly. I hope they got their wish, and may your wishes come true as well today.

We live near the Cross Florida Greenway and it is not unusual to see turkeys wandering about our neighborhood. I wonder if they might be just a little bit more wary with only a week to go until Thanksgiving.
