Light on Mosquito Inlet

Yesterday we took a day trip to Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. Now preserved by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association, the lighthouse, keepers’ houses and grounds are beautifully maintained. A hike up the 203 spiraling steps of the 175-feet-tall lighthouse led us to a magnificent view of the inlet and surrounding area.Continue reading “Light on Mosquito Inlet”

This time last year we were treated by family to a stay at the assistant lighthouse keeper’s house at North Head Lighthouse in southern Washington near the mouth of the Columbia River.
