Pineapple Bivouac

A makeshift shelter of cloth covered our pineapple plants while temperatures plummeted to freezing through the night. Lamps provided some warmth to prevent frostbite of the precious plants. It has always worked before, so I think their prospects are bright. #pineapple #frostbite #freezing

There is a glow autumn gold from the maple leaves in the front yard while azaleas beam the colors of spring. In the meantime, winter will soon burst onto the scene with frost and temperatures near freezing. There were no pineapple fruits from the plants this year since the patch was replanted last year from the fruit tops and from suckers of the old ones and hadn’t had time to mature.
