Mostly Minding My Manners

Playing “Lokelani,” My Kamoa Tenor Ukulele

I learned a while back, as did my wife, that my hands got into less trouble while I was playing the ukulele. It is a nice pastime and it sounds as good as it looks. I named it Lokelani in honor of the Hawaiian red rose. Fairy encourages me to play as much as I like, but I sometimes wonder if she likes the music or if she just likes the freedom from fidgeting fingers.

I have written multiple stories of life experiences, travel, and astronomy, and have been playing the ukulele for 10 years. My wife Fairy and I travel frequently to the Pacific Islands of Hawaii, and French Polynesia, and I have learned several of their native-language songs. This blog will be a forum to share experiences with family and friends.
