This creepy little slimer with the thin shell appears to be contemplating crossing the street. I really wouldn’t recommend it since per Wikipedia, they have an average speed of about 0.03 MPH with a record speed nearly double that held by “Archie,” who did 13 inches in 2 minutes decades ago in England. Besides he’d have hardly enough mucous to make it all the way, even if a car didn’t get him first.
So, did he go? I don’t know, but the next time we came around the block, he was nowhere in sight. Perhaps he was talked out if it by the proverbial chicken: “Don’t do it; you’ll never hear the end of it.” (With apologies to the originator of the joke.)
