My Side of the Clouds

Morning Cirrus

Looking up at the morning sky, I couldn’t help wondering what it was like on the other side of the clouds. The ever-deepening blue of the sky gave a hint. As the Artemis II astronauts gazed back at a tiny, crescent earth from beyond the moon, their comments described its blue and white color standing out like a lifeboat in the profound darkness of space and expressed their strong desire to soon return home.

I can’t blame them. Everyone I love, and everything I have been or will ever be are here on earth. As much as I admire space and its exploration, I will be forever content to remain on this side of the clouds.
