This photo was taken from my back yard with an iPhone yesterday evening. The planetary grouping in the western sky after sunset will become even more spectacular the next few evenings as Jupiter and Venus make their closest approach to each other on the evenings of June 8 and 9. They will share the sky with the elusive planet, Mercury, as well as Pollux and Caster of the constellation, Gemini. Take a look and enjoy the spectacle first hand!
